goal digger

When was the last time you set a goal for yourself? Last I heard, you were chanting “New Year, New Me.” But, here we are two weeks into the New Year and you are still doing the same old things. It is interesting that you are expecting 2018 to be your year of change, growth and self discovery, yet you haven’t set any goals to help to guide you along the way. If this sounds familiar, then you most definitely need to become a goal digger.

What is a Goal-Digger?

A Goal-Digger is someone who is eager to make major moves toward their success. They are ambitious, motivated and dedicated to achieving their dreams. A goal digger is all about making “money moves,” and they understand the importance of having a master plan to get the job done. A goal digger isn’t merely attracted to the success of others, instead they recognize their potential and use their passion to achieve their own success.

Goal-Digging 101

If you want to be a goal digger, the first thing you will need to do is identify your long-term goal. Your long-term goal is like knowing your destination on a road map. You will also need to identify a list of short-term goals to help guide your success.Goal Setting Every day that you wake up, you you need to have a short-term goal that you plan to accomplish. My long term goal is to be a full time motivational speaker, blogger and influencer. I have a list of short-terms goals and I try my best to accomplish at least one of my goals every day. I set daily challenges for myself by posting daily on social media, challenging myself to complete an article by a specific deadline, scheduling photoshoots, purchasing business cards, etc. The beautiful thing about setting goals is that it allows you to dissect your dream into smaller pieces so that you can take things day by day.

The Secret to being a Goal-Digger is to stay focused and stay fired-up! It Is so important that you keep your eyes on the prize and never lose sight of your vision. The best way to visualize your plan toward success is to write it down. Create a vision board that highlights the things you would like to have accomplished in 2018, so that every morning you can wake up ready to check things off your list. It is easy to get distracted from pursuing your dreams, especially when life gets tough. We can often get overwhelmed by our jobs, money, relationship drama and lack of motivation. However, the best way to combat these issues is to stay fired up! Keep your mind centered around your success by reading, watching and writing about where you see yourself in your success. I love to watch youtube videos of other motivational speakers and bloggers. I spend countless hours dissecting the strengths and weakness of their websites, social media and content, and I establish a plan of how I can improve my own products and services. A goal digger uses others as inspiration, but aspires to be a motivation to others. Start a list of goals today and be sure to give yourself a reasonable timeline to accomplish each task. If daily goals are overwhelming, then I would recommend that you start by setting a monthly goal. Start where you are and do the best you can with what you have, but most importantly start by having a plan.

Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.
