Cardi B just won’t stop, and we are here for it all!
If 2017 wasn’t good to anybody, it was definitely good to Cardi B. Starting the new year off right, the Bronx rapper collaborated with Bruno Mars to give us a new song to fall in love with. On Wednesday (January 3) the two Grammy nominated artists took to Instagram to announce their new single, Finesse would be dropping at midnight.
The announcement generated quite the online buzz since the collaboration was unexpected to say the least. The 90’s themed covered art went viral and fans were ecstatic to hear what the Bodak Yellow and Chunky artists put together.
With Bruno Mars being a contender for Album of The Year at this year’s Grammys-we couldn’t think of anyone more perfect for the up and coming female rapper to attach herself to.
Honoring one of the influential periods in hip hop, the two decided to pay homage to Keenen Ivory Wayans classic show, In Living Color. The video reenacted the show’s iconic opening with background dancers (Fly Girls), 90’s attire and of course, the memorable background set.
