And here is an event that you DEFINITELY do not want to miss! On Saturday, January 31, the annual and well-known Slumfest Hip Hop Awards will take place at 8 p.m. at the Cherokee Performing Arts Center (due to the unfortunate closing of Plush earlier this month; R.I.P.).
The Slumfest Awards will allocate awards to some of the area’s best in underground music and will also feature live performances by various local musicians and artists between award nominations. Nominees for this year’s Slumfest Awards include: Darren Jackson, DJ Sir Thurl, Tef Poe, Bo Dean, and Riley B.
