Rap battles have always been the heartbeat of hip hop. The arena where artists sharpen their lyrical skills as they prove to the world they are not to be fucked with. Though many go into the ring unscathed—they don’t necessarily come out that way.
There have been countless careers bruised due to a rap battle loss. Insults are thrown, reputations are in the crossfires, and things are said that can’t be taken back. As the jabs are thrown, most people often feel there are just some topics that should be off limits.
