Its about perfection, innovation, and creativity…

While these pursues have served quite well for over a century, the 1997 appointment of Marc Jacobs as its Creative Director brought an updated edginess to the temple of luxury goods. From collaborations with Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, the late Stephen Sprouse to the hiring of Kim Jones, Jacobs tackled an unenviable task by retaining the traditions cemented first by Louis Vuitton himself back in 1854 while formulating the brand’s future. In a way to explore this unique partnership between two designers across generations, Les Arts Décoratifs Museum of Paris will be hosting “Louis Vuitton – . As explained by Chief Curator , the exhibition not only honors both men, but highlights the inexplicable bond of both to objects of beauty. “Louis Vuitton – ” will be on view at Les Arts Décoratifs starting today to September 16th, 2012.
