On December 11th, J. Cole performed, “Be Free” on Late Night with David Letterman. Cole’s performance seemed to even touch Letterman who offered Cole a chance to come back at any time to perform again.
One of many the artists that have made their way to Ferguson, Cole visited the area almost immediately and spoke with residents and Capt. Ron Johnson. Cole’s song, “Be Free” is a tribute to Michael Brown, the Ferguson youth gunned down by Ferguson policeman Darren Wilson on August 9th 2014.
