Well it looks like Kandi Burruss has escaped the XSCAPE tour. Earlier this year, we bore witness to the 90’s R&B group reunite and perform on the BET’s Awards and at the Essence Festival. Not long after, the group announced they would be hitting the road later this year with a comeback tour. Unfortunately, it seems the sisterly love was short lived.
In a recent interview with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Kandi Burruss took the time to let us know that she would not be joining the group in their upcoming tour. Known for their internal controversy, fans are now worried about the tension swirling amongst the group.
Past issues between Kandi and the Scott sisters, seem to have resurfaced and the singer/songwriter has yet to bury the hatchet. We aren’t sure what will happen since the group is slated to record a reality show to air some time next year. Fans and non-fans have even taken to social media to voice their opinions regarding the group and the Atlanta housewife’s diva-like behaviors.
Despite the awkwardness and rumors, fans are ecstatic Xscape will hit the stage for their reunion The Great Xscape Tour, which kicks off next Wednesday. The tour is scheduled to stop in St. Louis on December 16 at the Chaifetz Arena with other special appearances. Hopefully, Kandi will surprise fans and put her differences aside for the sake of sisterhood and good music.
