Just in time for postseason baseball, Lumière Place Casino & Hotels unveiled its new restaurant, Ozzie’s Sports Bar & Grill on Friday, Sept. 26.
Ozzie Sports Bar & Grill now occupies the former Stadium Sports Bar & Grill and will feature more than 20 new delicious menu items, including a special Smokehouse section.
“When you think of St. Louis sports legends, Ozzie Smith is at the top of that list and we’re thrilled to be teaming up with the former St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame shortstop,” said Jeff Babinski, Vice President and General Manager of Lumière Place. “Ozzie’s Sports Bar & Grill attracts your avid sports fan who wants appetizing food and drinks while catching their favorite game on one of our 55-plus TVs.”
Ozzie Smith, also known as “The Wizard,” broke countless records in his 19 years in the majors and retired in 1996. Since then, he has won many humanitarian awards, has spent countless hours assisting St. Louis charities and has operated other area restaurants. Now, he’s proud to be associated with Lumière Place and his namesake restaurant.
“We’re excited to be located in the heart of downtown, so close to Busch Stadium and right in the middle of all the action at Lumière Place,” said Ozzie Smith, a 13-time Gold Glove winner. “We expect people to enjoy the great food and the exhilarating game-day atmosphere.”
The Sizzling 7 Wing Challenge: Ozzie’s Sports Bar & Grill will feature a new challenge on its menu. Pain is temporary, but victory is forever! Eat seven fire-hot wings in seven minutes with a seven-minute after burn. If you complete the challenge, you’ll receive a free champion’s T-shirt, your name on the Wall of Flame plaque and your wings are on us. Try if you dare!
