Missouri Fashion Week (which is in no way, shape or form affiliated with #STLFW), has rebranded as Missouri Style Week. Our new identity is a logical step that communicates to Saint Louis Fashion Week and the community that we believe in the strength of our brand. This week, Missouri Fashion Week received another cease and desist letter from St. Louis Fashion Week.
“Among the petty demands is that we use the full name, ‘Saint Louis Fashion Week’ in our disclaimers and not their very heavily branded abbreviation, ‘STLFW’,” said Cillah Hall, co-founder of Missouri Fashion Week. “It is evident to us that STLFW’s intention is to continue what has been a year-long pattern of business bullying that we will no longer tolerate.”
Missouri Style Week is moving forward with pride that our team has played a huge role in the fashion renaissance that has taken place the past year across our region.
“It is our sincere hope that Elizabeth Tucker (Co-Founder of STLFW) moves forward gracefully and stops contacting our partners and sponsors to plead her ‘confusion’ case,” said Hall.
“We could have probably avoided all this had Ms. Tucker communicated directly with us, instead of using questionable tactics by aggressively going to our primary sponsors and partners, then making me job offers through the media.”
The mission for Missouri Style Week remains unchanged. We will continue to produce a fashion event with the same, if not better, level of excellence and professionalism you have come to experience. As we further emerge into this exciting phase of growth, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our supporters. Missouri Style Week looks forward to a mutually positive and productive future with you!
